Izmir Distressed Medallion Hand-Knotted Wool Rug - Blue / Rust - 6'-0"

An Anatolian stepped medallion anchors a muted field framed by geometric rosettes and classical palmette borders. Warm rust motifs provide balanced, earthy contrast against the neutral blue field. Tied one knot at a time. The process is slow and exacting, and the rug holds its pattern and structure for generations. The 2/5-inch wool pile provides dense, structured footing while keeping intricate geometric linework sharply delineated. Natural wool fibers gain suppleness and luster the longer they live in a home. The Izmir Rug Collection displays distinctive designs in luxuriant, finely worsted New Zealand wool. Timeless floral and geometric motifs are masterfully hand-knotted in the rich hues and loop pile of these posh floor coverings. A chic addition to traditional or classy-contemporary home decor. A traditional stepped diamond medallion centers an open field bordered by geometric vinework and stylized floral palmettes. The structured symmetry lends quiet formality to classic and transitional spaces. A muted slate blue ground anchors warm terracotta and soft oatmeal motifs with charcoal accents. The sun-washed tones settle visual energy in sunlit rooms.
