Metro Damask Hand-Tufted Wool Rug - Dark Grey / Ivory - 6'-0" x 9'-0"

An open damask trellis softens formal European ornament into a relaxed, modern textile. Crisp ivory motifs stand out against a rich dark grey ground for balanced, high-contrast definition. Tufted by hand from pure wool, dense enough to hold the carved damask motifs crisp against the looped ground. The 3/8-inch wool pile provides substantial cushion underfoot. Pure wool gains character over years of use. The Metro Rug Collection features the newest classy-casual area rugs by Safavieh. Metro rugs are hand-tufted using pure wool with a cushion-soft cotton backing. You'll find a smart selection of decor-friendly designs perfect for any living room, family room or bedroom. Interlocking acanthus leaves and stylized floral palmettes repeat across an open field, bridging traditional European scrollwork with contemporary transitional restraint. Soft ivory and cream cut yarns form the raised pattern over a heathered slate-blue ground, accented with subtle charcoal flecks. The cool, light-reflecting tonal balance brightens rooms that lack direct sunlight.
