Metro Damask Hand-Tufted Wool Rug - Light Blue / Ivory - 4'-0" x 6'-0"

An open damask trellis softens formal European ornament into a relaxed, modern textile. Soft ivory scrollwork provides gentle, low-contrast definition across a tranquil light blue ground. Tufted by hand from pure wool, dense enough to hold the carved damask motifs crisp against the looped ground. The 3/8-inch wool pile provides substantial cushion underfoot and gains character over years of use. The Metro Rug Collection features the newest classy-casual area rugs by Safavieh. Metro rugs are hand-tufted using pure wool with a cushion-soft cotton backing. You'll find a smart selection of decor-friendly designs perfect for any living room, family room or bedroom. Interlocking acanthus leaves and stylized floral palmettes repeat across an open field, bridging traditional European scrollwork with contemporary transitional restraint. Warm ivory relief sits against a heathered ground of soft denim, chambray, and natural stone yarns. The balanced cool-toned field softens high-glare daylight without darkening the room.
