Metro Interlocking Block Hand-Tufted Wool Rug - Black / Ivory - 8'-0"

An interlocking fretwork grid blends architectural Greek key motifs with an expressive, hand-drawn character. Crisp ivory lines carve through a dense black and charcoal ground to create bold geometric contrast. Crafted by hand using pure wool yarns, creating a dense surface that maintains the crispness of the geometric linework. The 1/2-inch wool pile provides substantial cushioning and resilient warmth underfoot. Pure wool gains suppleness and character the longer it stays in a home. The Metro Rug Collection features the newest classy-casual area rugs by Safavieh. Metro rugs are hand-tufted using pure wool with a cushion-soft cotton backing. You'll find a smart selection of decor-friendly designs perfect for any living room, family room or bedroom. Interlocking maze-like frets repeat in a structured modern allover grid. The linear geometry brings architectural rhythm to contemporary and transitional interiors. A deep charcoal and heathered slate field is divided by warm cream dividing lines, with subtle dark blue undertones throughout the pile. The variegated dark tones ground an open layout while disguising daily foot traffic.
