Metro Modern Checkerboard Hand-Tufted Wool Rug - Ivory / Charcoal

Alternating blocks of linear ribbing create a structured checkerboard grid with architectural presence. Crisp ivory pile sits in clean, modern contrast against deep charcoal tones. Tufted by hand from pure wool, creating clean textural definition across each woven block. A substantial 1/2-inch wool pile provides dense, comfortable cushioning underfoot. Natural wool fibers deliver resilient loft and age gracefully with regular care. The Metro Rug Collection features the newest classy-casual area rugs by Safavieh. Metro rugs are hand-tufted using pure wool with a cushion-soft cotton backing. You'll find a smart selection of decor-friendly designs perfect for any living room, family room or bedroom. A geometric checkerboard of perpendicular linear ribs forms an understated textured grid. The modern layout relies on relief and direction rather than busy ornament. A warm ivory surface sits over recessed charcoal accent grooves to produce subtle graphic depth. The grounded contrast brightens low-light spaces without falling flat.
