Metro Striped Checkerboard Hand-Tufted Wool Rug - Black / Ivory

A high-contrast grid of interlocking checkerboard blocks and carved striped windows, bold and unapologetically graphic. The deep charcoal black and soft ivory create a sharp, high-contrast dynamic where the dark tone firmly defines the pattern. Tufted by hand from pure wool, sculpted with dimensional carving that cleanly delineates the geometric registers. The 3/8-inch wool pile provides substantial cushion underfoot while maintaining clear definition along every structural edge. Natural wool fibers naturally gain richness over time. The Metro Rug Collection features the newest classy-casual area rugs by Safavieh. Metro rugs are hand-tufted using pure wool with a cushion-soft cotton backing. You'll find a smart selection of decor-friendly designs perfect for any living room, family room or bedroom. Repeating rectangular modules combine offset checkerboard framing with dense vertical bar insets. The architectural layout channels mid-century optical design with clean modern structure. A deep charcoal black paired with an unbleached ivory ground, giving crisp graphic impact without harshness. The high-contrast palette anchors open living spaces.
