Oushak Stylized Floral Hand-Knotted Wool Rug - Rust / Ivory - 3'-0" X

A classical Anatolian-inspired composition pairs bold geometric palmettes with a framed botanical border, capturing the collected character of an heirloom rug. A balanced warm field of tan and rust sets off ivory accents in medium contrast. Tied one knot at a time. The process is slow and exacting, and the rug holds its pattern and structure for generations. The 1/4-inch wool pile is cropped close to keep the stepped motifs crisp underfoot. Pure wool gains luster and character the longer it lives in a home. The enduring elegance of traditional Turkish rugs is beautifully preserved in the Oushak Collection. The renowned designs and dappled shading (abrash) of authentic Oushak carpets is displayed throughout this exemplary collection. These striking renditions are hand-knotted using 100% pure wool and traditionally styled for today's classic home decor. Angular palmettes and stepped geometric medallions distribute evenly across the field, framed by a wide vine-and-palmette border. The balanced composition brings formal traditional structure to an open floor plan. A weathered rust ground carries accents of muted celadon, warm wheat, and soft sand. The settled earthen tones ground a large room without overwhelming existing furnishings.
