Samarkand Geometric Medallion Hand-Knotted Wool Rug - Rust / Blue

A classical Persian allover composition balances stepped medallions and geometric rosettes inside a diagonal barber-pole border. Dusty rose grounds the piece with subtle warmth, complemented by gentle camel and wine accents across the field. Tied one knot at a time. The process is slow and exacting, and the rug holds its pattern and structure for generations. The 1/4-inch pile is cropped close to keep the detailed geometry distinct and sharp underfoot. The natural surface deepens in luster and character with age. Samarkand Rugs are masterful renditions of classic Khotan rugs. This collection showcases the fine weaving traditions of ancient Uzbek tribesmen, with timeless, hand-knotted motifs displayed in a low cut, pure wool pile. The clarity of design and soft feel of Samarkand rugs adds distinctive charm to room decor. Repeating stepped lozenges, geometric rosettes, and cruciform emblems create a balanced antique rhythm across the field. Framed by a patterned guard border that keeps the dense motifs structured. A rich terracotta rust ground carries midnight navy, denim blue, sage green, and warm cream accents. The mellowed earth tones ground a bright room without overwhelming ambient light.
